When you think about chipping any games console, it usually involves buying a modchip and paying someone to install it for you. Modchips need to be hard soldered into the console making them very tricky and risky to install.

The Nintendo Wii is different though, and I will tell you just how easy it is to chip a Wii without even touching the console in less than 20 minutes. The clever guys at HomeBreWare came up with a revolutionary ‘soft chip’ which does everything a modchip can do but you just install it as a piece of software.

How To Chip A Wii In 3 Easy Steps

  1. First you must buy a soft chip, I would recommend buying HomeBreWare its only $29 and comes with step by step video instructions, free support and lifetime updates.
  2. Install the HomeBreWare soft chip on your Nintendo Wii, just load the software and it will automatically install, this takes about 15 minutes to do
  3. That’s it, you now own a fully modded Nintendo Wii and you can do as you please with it. Whether that’s play copied games or use it as a media centre

I have owned and chipped a variety of games consoles in my time, from the Playstation 1 through to the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii is by far the easiest to mod I have ever come across thanks mainly to HomeBreWare.

So now you know how easy it is to do, what are you waiting for?
