The Nintendo Wii softchip (also know as the Wii soft mod) is by far the easiest method of unlocking your Nintendo Wii. Giving you the same performance and features as a traditional modchip, the Wii soft chip is cheaper, easier to install and carrys no risk of damaging your console.

What Does The Wii Softchip Do?

The Wii softchip is a small piece of software that makes changes to the Nintendo Wii’s file system allowing you to bypass built in copy protection systems and digital rights management. This means you can play copied games or run a number of homebrew applications to extend the functionality of your Nintendo Wii.

4. Copy Games
Using a special homebrew application, you will be able to make direct copy’s of Wii and Gamecube games easily. You can choose to store these on your PC or burn them to a blank DVD to play on your Wii.
